Chinese New Year in HK and Singapore

No, People in Hong kong don’t celebrate Easter in Febuary…these cute little bunnies are a tribute to the Chinese New Year, Year of the rabbit!

There are rabbits’ decorations everywhere, in all countries in Asia strongly populated by Chinese.

Above is an example of decorations in the Landmark, a big luxury mall in HK.
Life basically stopped during the 4 days week-end of the New Year, People staying at home to eat (a lot) and see family.

We had Singapore to ourselves! The streets, usually so crowded and full of traffic, were empty. the only people outside were other “foreigners”.

We saw some impressive dragon parades, and nice outfits!

Happy New Year to all rabbits!
